The Transportation Department of Prince George County Public Schools plays a vital role in the daily lives of thousands of students, thanks to its exceptional team of bus and vehicle drivers. Each day, these dedicated professionals ensure that students are safely transported to and from schools as well as various activities throughout Prince George County and the surrounding region. Our commitment to safety remains our number one top priority.
In the 2023-24 school year, Prince George County Public Schools yellow school buses and other student transport vehicles carried an average of 4,021 passengers per day, utilizing 88 buses and 20 vehicles that traveled over 1.1 million miles, connecting what matters.

2026-2027 Transportation Request
Students are assigned to buses according to their home address. Parents who wish for their child to ride to or from an alternate address need to submit a transportation request using the form provided on this page. Please allow up to three days to process the request. Deadline for these requests will be August 9, 2026.
Request received on / after August 10, 2026 will be held until September 21, 2026. Please review the form for more information and contact our Transportation Department if you have any questions.

How to Access the My Ride K-12 Mobile App
Easily find your student's bus route, receive real-time updates, and get push notifications about changes or delays.
The My Ride K-12 app is designed to help parents and students stay informed about their school transportation schedules. My Ride K-12 is a must-have app for any parent or student who hopes to never miss the bus again. Download today and experience hassle-free school transportation.
- Download "My Ride K-12" from the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store.
- After the app installation is complete, Open My Ride K-12 on your device.
- When prompted to find your school district, search for Prince George County Public Schools. If you need assistance, please contact our Transportation Department.
- Once you have selected the district, you will proceed to the login page. If you do not already have a registered email, click "Register."
- To register, enter your email, password, and name.
- After registering, you will receive a confirmation email. Click on the link in your email to confirm your registration through the My Ride K-12 website.
- Log in, then find a student by going to My Students and choosing the + button. This will present the Add Student screen.
- Enter the Student ID number to find your student. Repeat this step to add additional students. If you need assistance, please contact our Transportation Department.
- Once you have linked to a student, click on that student's profile to see all relevant transportation information.
Helpful Tips for the My Ride K-12 Mobile App
Sharing: Press the Share button to share a student link with something else. Enter the email of the person you would like to share with. That person will receive a confirmation email that will automatically link them to the shared student(s). Recipients must register with My Ride K-12, if they have not already done so, the access the student information.
Keep Your App Updated: Regularly check your device's app store for updates to ensure your device is running the latest version of the My Ride K-12 app.
Stay Logged In: Remain logged into the app to receive district notifications, even when the app is not actively running.
