Meet Our Superintendent: Wayne Lyle, Ed.D.
 
The Superintendent works closely with the Prince George County School Board to develop and implement policies, manage the district's budget and resources, and ensure that our division provides high-quality educational services to our community. The Superintendent also plays a key role in fostering a positive learning environment and working with our school community and stakeholders to support teaching and learning.

About Wayne Lyle, Ed.D.
 
 On Monday, September 9, 2024, the Prince George County School Board appointed Dr. Wayne Lyle to serve as Prince George County Public Schools' division superintendent effective Tuesday, September 10, 2024.
 
Dr. Lyle earned his Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies from Virginia Tech, an Education Specialist degree in Curriculum and Instruction from The University of Virginia, a Master of Education in Administration and Supervision from The University of Virginia, and a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies from Radford University. 
 
Dr. Lyle has almost 30 years of experience in education in the Commonwealth of Virginia, and has worked in Franklin County, Bedford County, Montgomery County, and Amherst County. During his career, Dr. Lyle has served as an Instructional Supervisor, Principal, Assistant Principal, and Teacher, among other roles. Prior to joining Prince George County Public Schools, he served as Danville Public Schools’ Chief Operations Officer, a position Dr. Lyle had held since 2021.
