N.B. Clements' Junior Beta Club Members Thrive During Virginia State Convention

Members of N.B. Clements Junior High School's Junior Beta Club showcased their mastery and excellence across various skill sets during the organization's state convention earlier this month.

Hosted in Hampton on February 7, 2025, the students demonstrated their hard work, dedication, and talent during the event, earning several accolades for their performances. The students' achievements are as follows:

Performing Arts, Small Group – 3rd Place

  • Participants: Piper Harrison, Jocelyn Shultz, Brittany Farmer, and Emma Bruening

Performing Arts, Solo – 3rd Place

  • Performer: Samantha Rathman

Creative Writing – 1st Place Winner

  • Winner: Kelsey Rideout

Golden Ticket Award – Samantha Rathman

  • This exclusive recognition is awarded to a select few participants per state and competition area. The judges chose Samantha as an outstanding performer, and she has been invited to perform at the National Beta Club Opening Ceremony in Orlando, Florida.

The success of the school's Beta members was also supported by Lily Timperio, Koli Temple, Morgan McCoy, and Massarah Owusu, whose dedication and teamwork contributed to our club's achievements.

What's Next for the Junior Beta Club members?

These accomplishments at the state level qualify our students to compete at the National Beta Convention, which will be held at the Gaylord Palms Resort & Convention Center in Orlando, Florida, during the summer of 2025. More details will be provided in the coming months.
