The N.B. Clements Junior High School community celebrated its educators with a fun auction event on Tuesday, May 10, 2022, coinciding with the previous week's National Teacher Appreciation Week, giving teachers the opportunity to win gifts donated by community partners.
The school's media center was filled with laughter and smiles Tuesday afternoon as the Clements team enjoyed snacks and treats during the auction. 8th-grade art teacher Lara Luebbers partnered with a representative from Amazon, who donated dozens of items to be auctioned off during the event. The selection of items available to bid on was diverse, ranging from housewares to electronics to school supplies, and many lots drew considerable interest from attendees.
Giving the event an authentic auction feel were Brian and Joan Waymack of Waymack Auction Service, LLC., who donated their time to this special event. Working alongside bookkeeper Tiffany Caul, Joan Waymack helped sort and document the donated items into 100 lots, while Brian Waymack facilitated the bidding process during Tuesday's celebratory affair.

Based upon Clements student Taylor Ford's artwork, teachers spent specially designed "Clements Cash" to bid on their desired lots.
The event served as an opportunity to celebrate Clements' educators for the important work they do every day supporting students and one another as part of May 2-6's National Teacher Appreciation Week and a great team-building event among the Clements team.
N.B. Clements Junior High School and Prince George County Public Schools thank both Brian and Joan Waymack of Waymack Auction Service and Amazon for donating time, talents, and products for this special event. The district is grateful to have great community partners who support our educators and the children of Prince George County.
