The word "Excellence" emblazoned on the wall overlooking the event aligned perfectly with the celebrations during the evening as dozens of cadets were recognized for their achievements during the JROTC's annual ceremony.

With a backdrop of Teacher Appreciation Week, 19 Prince George High School seniors and aspiring educators signed with PGCPS for teaching opportunities once they complete their post-secondary education.

Serving as a end-of-year culminating activity, Organizational Day is an opportunity for cadets across the 2024-25 School Year to come together for a day of fun and competitive activities, with the goal of fostering relationships and building rapport among their community.

The visit was part of the team's annual Education Day event, where the Richmond Flying Squirrels and their front-office staff invited schools to attend a morning game and learn more about sports team operations at the professional level.

Each school's delegation participated in a diverse assortment of activities at this year's event, with each event staffed by student and adult volunteers, including players and coaches from high school's athletics teams.

Over 160 students completed the baseball bookmark challenge in March, with approximately 80 South Elementary students and families turning out for a Richmond Flying Squirrels game on April 15.
